Overview

Kríhmēyis Se was founded durring the early 10th century, by Parciel Pritchards. The establishment of Kríhmēyis Se was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Kríhmēyis Se's construction back out of the project. Parciel Pritchards pushed on reguardles, and Kríhmēyis Se was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Kríhmēyis Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kríhmēyis Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Kríhmēyis Se is buildings folow an organic layout of crampt paverstone streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Kríhmēyis Se weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Kríhmēyis Se's budget focused millitary grade defenses are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Kríhmēyis Se is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Cultural Notes

The style used is which made use of the classical orders and mathematically precise ratios of height and width combined with a desire for symmetry, proportion, and harmony. It used columns, pediments, arches and domes are imaginatively in buildings of all types. Decorative features were seen as largely unnecessary as the sheer beauty of the structure itself was often close to art. However, many buildings with large ceiling spaces had their ceilings decorated with elaborate paintings, simply because the large flat spaces could feel wasted.

Points of Interest

Kríhmēyis Se is centered around a major pilgrimage site. This may be a religious location of importance to a major faith, or it may be a more secular institution that draws the traffic, like a famous academy or the remains of some wondrous ancient work. Considerable local tension likely exists over controlling the access to the site and maximizing the profits from foreign visitors.

The roads leading into Kríhmēyis Se possess a great number of switchbacks. While designed for defense, they mostly wind up pissing everyone trying to take goods to town right the hell off.

POI

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami spared the town a natural disaster. One of Kríhmēyis Se's local festivals commemorates this miracle.
